Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage financial records related to real estate operations in the UAE, ensure compliance with local regulations, and support the finance team in day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate accounting, including property-related transactions, client accounts, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and post financial transactions accurately into accounting software.
- Maintain and update ledgers, journals, and financial records related to real estate operations.
- Input and track invoices, receipts, commissions, and payments for property transactions.
- Verify data accuracy to ensure error-free financial records.
- Categorize income and expenses related to rentals, sales, commissions, and property management.
- Process payroll entries, commissions, and statutory deductions.
- Maintain fixed asset registers for properties, office assets, and equipment.
- Perform regular data backups to ensure financial data security.
- Organize and digitize physical financial documents, including contracts and payment receipts.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between source documents and system entries.
- Reconcile bank statements with company and client financial records.
- Match credit card and expense transactions with supporting documents.
- Manage bookkeeping for multiple properties, agents, and clients simultaneously.
- Coordinate with the senior accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with VAT registration, filing, and compliance related to real estate transactions.
- Support audit and regulatory requirements as per UAE laws.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE real estate or property management sector.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, especially as they apply to real estate transactions.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or Zoho Books.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage multiple properties, accounts, and deadlines efficiently.
