Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) was established in 1988, leading to massive industrial development in Ajman by attracting a great number of companies to benefit from the investment privileges, thereby strengthening industry and trade and the financial sector in the UAE.

Business Activities

Ajman Free Zone offers 4 main types of licenses while setting up a company:

  • Commercial trading license – allows the client to import, export and distribute goods specified in the license. The different types of license categories offered here are:
    • 1 Trading Activity
    • 2 Trading Activity
    • 3 Trading Activity
  • General trading license – allows the client to import, export and distribute unlimited goods and products
  • Service license – allows the client to carry out service activities; such as:
    • IT Consultancy
    • Marketing Management
    • Advertising Researches & Consultancies
    • Web design Consultancy
    • Management Consultancy
  • E-Commerce license – this type of license is issued by the Ajman Free Zone Authority to do business in electronic trading activities & provide technical and marketing support to Investors
